I'd always wanted to own a business. I had idea after idea. Then a seasoned business owner gave me the advice I needed: do what you know. Otherwise, there are pitfalls you never see coming.
So I learned the business first. I spent eight years at another Pl firm - starting in sales, moving into operations, and learning every part of how an investigation actually runs. When I opened Now You Know Investigations in 2002, I wasn't building from scratch. I was building on ground I already understood.
After more than 30 years in the business, that foundation still holds.

Now You Know Investigations is not a high-volume agency. We are a deliberately small, focused firm — and every person on our team has been here long enough to know exactly what they're doing.
We serve attorneys, insurance carriers, employers, and private clients across the region. Our work spans surveillance, workers' compensation investigations, background investigations, skip tracing, domestic and custody matters, and process service. In every category, experience is the differentiator.

With more than 30 years of experience across surveillance, workers’ compensation, domestic investigations, and complex field assignments, he brings the kind of judgment that only comes from decades of real cases.

Operations & Client RelationsKristy co-owns Now You Know Investigations and has been full time with the firm since 2019. Before joining the agency, she spent years with Target in HR and senior leadership roles — experience she brought directly into operations and client services. She helps ensure every case is handled with professionalism, organization, and clear communication from intake through final reporting.

Jarad
7 Years with Now You KnowJarad brings seven years of experience with Now You Know Investigations, specializing in surveillance, process service, and complex field assignments. Prior to joining the firm, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Forward Observer, including deployments to Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific region. His background in observation and field operations continues to serve clients well in investigative work.
Rural areas and small towns require a different kind of investigator. We grew up on a farm — we know the land, the people, and how to work these environments without drawing a second look.
Many of our most important cases take place in small communities — places where an unfamiliar face is noticed immediately and a standard investigator stands out the moment they arrive. Our background means we move through these environments naturally, blending in where others can't. It's a capability that's difficult to teach and impossible to fake.
